This weeks turnings *PIC*

>I have finally started my lathe again after a long dry spell. My son came down last Saturday and we turned a few pens. Of course he uses my lathe, my parts, my wood, then sells them without compensation to me. I guess since I am retired he doesn't think I need the money. Actually don't expect any.

On Thursday, he came down again and he turned more pens and a bottle stopper on my mini Jet while I turned bottle stoppers, confetti lights, and a pen or two. My results are in the picture below.

Afterwards I started on a bowl for a nutcracker and used spalted maple I got from the Olympia Turning Club last month. That result is also shown in the picture. It is 8" across and 1.5" high.

It feels very good to have something come out of my shop instead of just me.
