Help! Rescue Operation Needed!

>Hello All,

I making Christmas presents. The main one was going to be a mahogany 8-10 inch bowl. I turned the outside and it looks great. Today I was going to start on the inside and I took it off my faceplate and was going to chuck the tenon. When I turned it on it was wobbly. Upon further investigation it appears this kiln dried (I assume) wood was left standing in water. The tenon just flaked off and the outside section of wood was rolly (great technical description, huh). I would hate to lose this peice at this stage in the game. Got any suggestions.
