Things not to do as winter nears...

JL
>So I was out Saturday afternoon. I found this nice chunk of maple and some nice pieces of white oak. Just the sort to turn into legs and spindles. Split out the oak and the maple to get them into reasonable handling chunks. Put them into the back of the trusty Subaru as I had to get them down back to metro Atlanta from North GA. I left them in the Forester overnight.... Well it got a wee bit cold. Frost on the windshield and all that. What I didn't realize was that half (or more) of the frost was on the inside of the windshield!

Lesson learned. Don't leave fresh split green wood in the back overnight on evenings when you expect frost...
