Subject:
airbrush dying ornaments

Mark Wollschlager
>I am going to try to embellish some of my hollow iceicle ornaments with color. I use a lot of curly maple so dying came to mind.
I was going to try airbrushing some textile dyes onto the surface.
They are currently just sanded to 800 without sealers.
Should I raise the grain and resand before applying the dye?

I have a few ;-) fragments of ornaments to experiment on, but I figured someone out there have crossed this bridge before.
TIA.

Mark.
