>I always thought there were two ways to do it( other than sanding): shear scraping, and scraping with an exaggerated burr --either with a conventional scraper or with a hand held carpenter's scraper. At a recent demo by Trent Bosh, he claimed the best way is to cut --not scrap -- with a sharp bowl gauge that has a more or less vertical bevel angle. He demonstrated what he preached, too. What do you think?
