Hollowing Punky Wood, Advice needed

>Does anyone have a good procedure for hollowing punky wood? I just read Leo Van Der Loo's posting on 8/17/06 using a 50/50 mix of water & glue on a punky bowl. Looks like the bowl came out great. Can that procedure be applied to a green hollowing? How thick do you leave the hollow form before soaking. Should you soak the piece or just apply the water/glue mixture to the outside? How long should you wait to return the piece? etc. Is it better to use Minwax wood hardener. Suggestions please.
