Myland's Sanding Sealer

Ron McKinley
>What's the secret to using Myland's? Tried it today for the first time on a piece of redwood. Normally I use Watco on everything but thought I'd try the lacquer-based sealer and see if it would keep the redwood lighter than a Danish Oil.

What a mess! I've watched several Pros use it on their videos and it looked really simple. Just brush it on, wait a minute or two and buff it off with steelwool or fine sandpaper.

It left it really streaked and blotchy and had to use Watco on top of it to smooth it out. It was a fresh can that I just opened today. What am I missing? Thanks........Ron
