Wood ID help please. *PIC*

Dave Smith, Longview, WA
>Some one gave me this wood and said it was walnut. It looked a little light in color but I have seen cinnamon brown walnut so I thought nothing of it. I cut the slab into turning squares today and it ain't walnut. It smells like olive wood but the grain, but not the color, looks like china berry that I happened cut today. I am thinking it is some kind of mahogany. The wood is not heavy. Any suggestions?
