Subject:
Old rockwell lathe, T Daniel ?

HeatherA in Alaska
>Hello all, I finally got my new Rockwell 46-450 12" gap bed lathe moved into the garage. Terry (and of course anyone else), you mentioned on the classified forum that there are some modifications you would make to these lathes. Any suggestions? The bottom belt seems loose but it goes through all the speeds without trouble. Does anyone use the offset tool rest extension or the gap filling block? I do not have these but have seen them for sale. I just ordered a oneway live center for it as a welcoming present. I can't wait to get it up and running but right now we are fighting the clock to get winterized.

Thanks,
Heather
