Subject:
Elbo Tool?

Ruth Niles
>At the SWAT Symposium in TX last weekend, my booth was next to Stan with his Elbo tool hollowing system. I loved watching it demonstrated and a number of attendees tried and bought it. Does anyone here own it? If so, what size and shape turnings do you find it works the best? I'm thinking about it. I tried it and you can guide it with 2 fingers, not that you'd necessarily do that, but just a test as to ease of use. Stan was only demoing on small bowls, which were easier to see the cutting edge and easier to get turners to try it, I'm wondering about hollow forms.

Opinions?
