Bird-house ornament as thank you for an apple log *PIC*

>A couple of ladies in my neighborhood stopped me, a month ago or better, they where having an crabapple tree taken down, could I use any of the wood, you know the answer to that.
And as I had a look at the tree, I saw a small piece of wood split from a tree, had a hole through it where a dead branch had been, anyway I picked up that wood and asked if I could have it, wend home and made a birdhouse ornament out it for them, they loved it.
It's very figured sugar maple with a roof top of Padauk.
