mini lathe

RYKER ACUNA
>While removing the chuck on my jet mini lathe I accidentally tightened the outboard hand wheel. This bound the lathe, and would not allow the shaft to spin. Before I knew what I did, I sprayed wd40 on either side of the headstock. I thought the bearings might have heated up and locked. Well they were not. When I loosend the hand wheel everything was fine, except. When I run the lathe it sounds as if there is not grease in the inboard bearing? I thought they were sealed bearings? Now what do I do? It still runs fine but it really screams at high speed. I dont want ruin anything. What to do now? replace the bearings? repack the bearings? Or let it run out the wd40 and it will quiet down? thnx
