Subject:
Making a new friend

>I have had a Sorby Multi-tip for about a year but had only used it occasionally and then only with the teardrop scraper. Lately, I have been using it on undercut bowls and have fallen in love with it. I also started using the scraper rolled to a 45 deg angle for finishing cuts and it really works well. I can use it for reverse turning as well to tame wild grain. Do many of you guys and gals have "barely acquainted" tools lying around the shop that you just haven't taken the time to learn to use and really make friends with? I am glad I did with this one.
