>I did a search on 'jamb chucks' and only found recommendations on woods to use.
Today I turned a pine jam chuck to fit inside a finished little 'nut bowl' of birch.
I'd waxed it on top of shellac, nestled it in against the jam with a paper towel to
protect the finish, and brought up the tail center stub (I have no cone yet.) The
little bowl kept slipping round the jamb chuck, and though I finished and parted
it off, it was difficult to handle. Suggestions?
