Cherrylimb base turned into a bowl *PIC*

>Took a chance on turning a bowl out of a cutoff from a black cherry log that had a short limb stump on it, thought it might split as cherry does have a reputation of doing that.
It's approx. 11"long and 8" wide by 2 1/4 high, used pure tung oil all over, plus carnauba wax in the bowl.
It has been sitting for a couple of months now and except for a couple of small checks on the outside there is no splitting.
I'm quite pleased with it, thought I'd show it here.
