Sharpening with Lee Valley Sander/Grinder Belt *LINK*

>I'm getting tired of my 6" high speed grinding wheel for sharpening my turning tools. I have Leonard Lee's DVD on sharpening and he sharpens using his 1" belt Sander/Grinder (Lee Valley part# 68Z75.01). It looks like it is very easy to sharpen with this system (remembering I still have the 6" grinder for serious reshaping) and able to get a very good edge. The price of his system is less than an 8" grinder would likely cost me, especially a slow speed grinder. Yes, I have the Wolverine and the Vari-Grind.

Anyone using or have used this system? Pros/cons? Any special tricks when it comes to using it for turning tools? Are there certain tools that you would use the grinder instead of the belt system?

Thanks in advance,

Craig
