PM 3520a Indexing Jig

RP
>I've read and looked at a lot of these homemade indexing jigs turners have made. I've yet to make mine. I just wonder why someone doesen't just use a sprocket off of a bike for the jig. The size you use would determine the number of indexes. It seems like you could just use a slide bolt type of operation to lock it in place. Why don't one of you rocket scientist out there make one and then show me how!!
I have considered the safety aspect of it. You could just cut a tire inner tube and stretch it over the sprocket when it isn't in use. You only use the indexer very occasionaly.
Just brainstorming.
