Turning Archive 2006
George Balock posted something regarding shows being slow and non-productive lately and I'm about to venture into one that is sort of different. I was contacted a while back to take part in the opening gala event for a weeklong convention in downtown Indy. It's tomorrow night at the Westin Hotel and will involve 12 artists, cocktails and live music. The event planer is striving to create entertaining and unique conferences for attendees. This particular conference is for Human Resources executives all over the country and is sold out to the tune of 1500 attendees. I have no idea what this thing is going to be like. They are providing 2, 6' skirted tables and electricity for each artist and the cost is zero. Artists keep 100% of what they sell. I'm hoping for a captive audience who are ready to spend some $$ after a cocktail or two!
I'll let you know how this goes.
