I've never had this much trouble!

>I'm hollowing out a small( about 5x5 in.) HF through a 3/4 in opening. None of my larger tools with constraints, lasers, etc. are any good for this one, so I've been making various tools from 3/8 in. hardware rod and 3/16 in machinists bits. The wood is dry buckeye burl, and it's taking FOREVER. I'm trying for 1/8 in thickness. (Also the bits keep coming loose.) I don't feel confident at all, and find myself wondering why I'm putting myself through this. I guess I'm crying in my beer like this because you are the only ones who can sympathize.
