Subject:
Making a disk sander to run on a lathe?

Curtis TX
>I would like to make a 6-8" disk sander to run on my lathe. I will attach a faceplate to a disk and attach sandpaper. I am considering attaching hook and loop to the MDF disk or PSA disks. What are the pros and cons of either method.

I am concerned that the PSA disks maybe difficult to remove.

Also, what's the best resource for hook and loop. I can find lots of places with 1" wide strips but I would rather use a single sheet.

Any input would be appreciated.
