Turning in a flat world *PIC*

Doug Thompson near Cleveland
>Many of us started woodworking on the other side where everything was flat. The jointer, planer and tablesaw were used everyday but the poor lathe sat in the corner collecting dust until it had to be used. Here's some projects from the past.

The first one is a kitchen island my wife wanted. She found a 3X4 picture in a magazine and said all the dimensions are there(HxWxL). LoL The legs, towel rods and lower shelve pulls were turned on a Craftsman tube lathe with the only tool that worked... a scraper.
