Subject:
Termites

Don Emmerling
>I have had some split cherry logs stored on end under an old rug for the past two months while I get around to roughing out some bowls for turning. Today I noticed very small white bugs about half the size of an ant crawling around several of the log ends. I am guessing they are termites. Is there any way I can salvage the wood for turning without inadvertently bringing those things into the house or is the wood lost?

Thanks,

Don
