More on Finials *PIC*

>While organizing my files I came across this piece; mulberry burl form with an ebony collar and finial. The finial threads into the collar. I think this would have been a good example to discuss in the chat on finials. This pieces is a "study" of a squat, compressed form mated to a long finial...just to see how they look together.

I think it's interesting to note the "filets" that separate the elements within the finial. I borrowed the shapes from classis forms.
