Subject:
Finish or Not for Red Cedar?

Jennifer@Indy.USA
>Hi Everyone,

I've turned a red cedar bowl that just smells delicious, and I'd love to be able to keep that aroma, however I'd also like to put some form of finish on it to bring out the beautiful colors in the piece. It goes from creammy white to pale pinks and deep purples. Any ideas, or do I need to choose one or the other? I've never turned red cedar before but had an opportunity when a friend dropped off a 3ft log about 14" in diameter.

Thanks for any ideas.

Jen
