swiveling tailstock *LINK*

John Lucas
>I've seen several devices for sale to supposedly swivel the tailstock out of the way. The ones that allow you to rotate the tailstock down seem a like a good way to go. The Robust lathe design is useful. I can't see how swiveling the taistock to the side does any good. When I need to remove the tailstock I need to get it completely out of my way not just to the side. Does anyone see an advantage to having the tailstock swing out the side?
