Subject:
Being a Vendor at KY = small bummer

Ruth NIles
>I've had a vendor booth at the smaller shows in GA, NC, FL, OH and NY and have a blast. Being a vendor at the AAW Symp. was really a very different experience and a small bummer because I didn't feel like a "woodturner" but rather a "salesman". Not that there's anything wrong with that!

I shared the Stubby Lathe booth and, don't get me wrong, I saw a lot of turners and had a good time (and sold a LOT of stainless steel stoppers!) but the woodturners gather in the Instant Gallery or the hallways between demonstrations. Yes, almost everyone does walk through the Trade Show but I didn't get to talk turning. I missed that.
