Subject:
Pneumatic Air Hammer Choices

Chris Andrew
>I'm thinking about getting a pneumatic air hammer to do some texturing. I'm specifically interested in the single-bit air hammer as opposed to a needle scaler. A trip to some of the local suppliers resulted in questions regarding the specs that work best for this. I assume a short stroke (1 5/8) and high BPM (5000) would be preferable. Models with these specs also seem to require less CFM from the compressor. Are my assumptions correct? Does anyone have advice about these that might help me get the right unit for this purpose?
