A mirror as a turning tool

>This months issue of Woodturning had an interesting quote by David Silberkleit. The article was about thinking outside the bowl. Generally the article talked about taking risks and learning new techniques and not being afraid of failure but I thought the best comment was in the first paragraph.

Hang a mirror by your lathe. If you don't see yourself smiling often enough then your not having fun. If your not having fun then your too invested in the final product. Great idea. Brings me back to the former AAW president Charles Alvis who always opened a club meeting with Why are we here? The answer, To have Fun.
