>I've been playing around with wax based agents to color the grain in open grained woods. The final suggested step for most applications seems to be a buffing with a clear paste wax. However, it seems to me that this is not a very durable finish, even for decorative objects, and in particular, the wax based coloring agents in the open grain may be subject to degradation by even casual handling. Is there any finish that can be put over the wax finish to seal it all? Krylon customer service states that none of their products will work in the application.
