Subject:
Caribbean Swirl *PIC*

Jim Shaver Oakville, Ont.
>Hi,

I have been working on this pen for awhile, itís a solid ended Gentlemenís roller ball pen. Part of the fun of the solid end design in a pen is making the writing portion of the pen into any shape you want. This aspect of shape allows some freedom in design and making each pen a one of a kind.

This blank is a celluloid called Caribbean Swirl and is fast becoming my favorite man made material to use on my pens.

Another process I am using now is to paint our the brass tubes to add a visual density to the look of the pen, in this case I used black.

I am really enjoying this part of pen making.

Take care,
Jim
