>Can someone tell me how to use a bedan? I have a good one...Henry Taylor...and I think I have it sharpened well and at the same angle as it was when I got it. But is the edge supposed to be at center? above? below? Is the tool held level? or at an angle? what??
I can get it to cut in almost all these configurations but not guaranteed smoothly. And it's a little scary when it starts to grab or chatter.
I looked at a website by a French feller when I got the tool but to be honest, I didn't get much out of that side.
I am using ghe bedan mostly to cut tenons for mounting my chuck but I know that it is good for more than that.
