Subject:
Grease on bowl blank question.

Barry Irby
>Back in November I picked up a piece of firewood from a friend's house and roughed a small bowl blank out of it with the intention of letting it dry and finish turning it later. I just discovered that my lame brained son used it to haul table scraps to the dog pen. I returned the blank, but the grease remains and is quite prominent. Is there a finish that will blend in with this and hide it (other than paint), or some way to remove enough of it to make it fade away, or should I just toss the bowl?
