Walnut Root Vessel *LINK* *PIC*

Fred Holder
>A friend recently dug up one of the roots of his English Walnut tree and gave me several sections of dripping wet root that measured about 5-1/2" in diameter. I turned a small endgrain vessel for him in exchange. The rough turned vessel was treated with Dave Smith's alcohol drying protocol and was completely dry in 10 days. I've never turned any root wood before and found it a bit different.
