Turning Archive 2006
>This is the latest in this series of bowls that I have been turning. This particular one started as a 9" by 3¼" circular bowl blank in Olive. I cut the largest pentagon that I could form it and turned it down to about 1/8" thick. Sanded through the grits 2 coats of cellulose sanding sealer and then cut back with 0000 wire wool and waxed.
Once I have finished it I realised that there was a face looking out at me.
With this bowl I followed Jamie Donaldson's advice and reduced the size of the base of the bowl. I certainly think that it looks better how about you?
