Subject:
How is sweet gum for turning?

Bert Workman
>I have access to more than I can cut and carry. I'm new to the South and new to sweet gum. Is it diffuse porous? Good for salad bowls? Should I only look for interesting crotch pieces?

Along with the sweet gum is a faily large Cherry. I know what to do with that one!

Thanks, and If things go well I might have wood to share.
