Turning Archive 2006
>Just wanted to post that Penn State seems to have filled stock on their individual "Benjamins Best" tools. Just received the 1/4", 3/8" and 1/2" spindle gouges, as well as a 3/8" bowl gouge.
I already had their 1/2" bowl gouge.
Just ramping up from turning miniatures, so these were a good start to "hone" my sharpening skills instead of making fine dust on a set of 2030 tools!
The 3/8" bowl gouge already has a pretty good looking swept back grind to start with. A quick touch on the grinder, and it should be ready to go. I had to re-shape the 1/2" gouge when I picked it up about a year ago.
Anyone just starting, prices are very reasonable - as you can see from the listing. All four tools were $54.00 with shipping.
