Turning Archive 2006
>Well I've had to work a lot of hours already this week and I'm having turning withdrawl so I went to the shop late tonght and turned a dozen wine stoppers. Here are 4 of them. This is a new design for me and quite fun. I use a 3/8" spindle gouge to turn the coves. I used it like you would use a scraper with the flute up and the blade level. Cut from the high side of the cove to the middle. I also burned the edges with a piece of cardboard.
