Subject:
My turn to ask a question...

Doug Trembath
>A really good friend gave me two HUGE sections of Holly today. I could just get my arms around them. On the ground for two weeks, and not a single crack of any kind. Now, I've turned a lot of wood, but have never even seen Holly this large. For those experienced turners who have, should I turn it really thin wet, or rough it out? Seems so stable that I think I could turn it thicker, and not have much distortion, but I really don't know, What do y'all think?
