>While researching "calabashes" (as a result of reading an earlier post), I ran across a very interesting and valuable document from the Bishop Museum on the conservation of wooden bowls. There aren't a lot of surprises, but the very comprehensive nature of the document makes it a worthwhile read.

One of their main points is to avoid the use of commercial products with unknown ingredients.
