Turning Archive 2006

Subject:
Something fishy here..... *PIC*

Keith Tompkins
>Three down, four to go! This one's titled "Skippin' School". 8" diameter. Although these pieces admittedly involve quite a bit of carving, each piece requires 17 separate turnings to complete it. This piece was specifically made to order by the gallery's client; larger than the others, and more detail. The fish are made of one piece, jam-chucked to form a "donut". The eyes are turned of holly and ebony, and the holly base has a single-spiral carved in it. The finish is airbrushed acrylics. I would welcome your comments, excuse my poor photo, please.
