Subject:
Oneway Coring System

>Ok, I will admit that I have a tool buying problem, I have all three of the bowl coring systems. I have done a lot of experimenting with profiles on the McNaughton system (I have settled on grinding the point off, so that the cutter is square which makes no difference in how the blade tracks/stays on course through the cut). I have wondered about that point on the Oneway cutter. Does it serve any purpose? Has anyone modified their Oneway cutters? I can't seem to get it to cut as well as the McNaughton, or the Woodcut. Both of these systems ask you to sharpen the face of the cutter, and it leaves a slight burr on the top, like most people want on their scrapers. After all, each of the coring systems use a scraping cut. With the Oneway, they want you to sharpen the top of the cutter. Any explanations or comments?
