Subject:
Lathe bolt down

Bill Hale
>Well I finaly bolted down my Oneway 2436. When I first got it many years back they said do not bolt down. Then later they said bolt it down.
Well now that it is bolted down what a difference. Vibration with a slightly off balance piece is nill. You must use common sence with a large heavly off balance to not damage the bearings,
If you decide to do it I left the factory feet in place and balanced the lathe. I then drilled out one of the 3/8 holes in each lege to accept a 3/8 wedge anchor bolt and drove it in. Pull down against the foot and you are set. You now have the ability to do any up down adjustment.

Good turning and be safe
