>Nick Cook said his father calls rolling pins HATs. Husband Adjustment Tools. My daughter is a ceramics major at Kent State University. She wanted some oversize rolling pins to roll out clay. She makes some large pieces. The larger pin is 34” long. It is made of maple. The smaller one is made of beech. They are finished with General Finishes Seal-a-Cell and Mike Mahoney’s Walnut Oil. I gave her some Walnut oil to put on occasionally to keep them from absorbing water from the wet clay.
