Subject:
CA glue stain

Carole Valentine
>I use a coat of wax across hairline cracks that I am going to stabilize with CA. Normally this does a pretty good job of preventing the wicking/staining on surrounding wood. However, on one piece the wood was soft enough that the glue wicked all the way through and out a considerable distance from the crack. This stain still shows after finish turning and sanding. Is there anyway to get rid of it? Thought about trying acetone, but figured I would ask before I possibly make it worse than it already is. My gut tells me that I am stuck with it. :(
