First Bowl

>Well, first non-end grain bowl, have done 3 or 4 of those, very small ones.

This is about 5 3/4" x 2", sourwood, green, w/BLO, not buffed. I haven't had it off the lathe but about 20 minutes and I can already see the edge moving............. :) I would have done the foot a bit different, but SWMBO said she wanted it like this. I must obey, as she has said that a 3520B is in my future. Well, I thought I heard her say it, and that's good enough for me.

Fairly unremarkable wood (other than it's free, of course), grain looks better up close and personal.

As an aside, my thanks to the Richmond Woodturners for their hospitality last night, and a special thanks to Dick Hines for the kind invitation. They just don't realize what they've let themselves in for.........

Critique welcome, especially on the foot......... :)
