>This is my first attempt at turning ANYTHING segmented. My roomate's Border Collie got hit by a car and killed a few weeks ago and she had it cremated. So I decided to turn her an urn for the dogs remains. Fineal is maple, top is basswood and purple heart, the remainder is basswood and Jatoba.

I've seen some other segmented turnings on this site and some of you guys and gals have turned some really awesome stuff and were a real inspiration to me. I have to admit, I really learned a lot turning this, especially considering it was my first segmented peice and I don't have ANY bowl turning tools for the center. I'm fairly pleased with the way it came out, especially since it was my first atempt at a segmented peice.

Thanks for looking.
