>to sand the handle using a drill chuck and drum sander.
I got the idea when trying to cut the top from some strawberries with a normal paring knife. The blades of all of our kitchen knives were too wide to make such a tight curve.
The blade is ground from a saber saw scroll blade. Itís set in epoxy. I polished it on a 1x30 belt sander using a 9000 grit belt. I donít know what the wood is. Iíll have to ask Mike the next time I get to Curly Woods since thatís where it came from. It's harder than most woods so should make a long lasting handle. The finish is Watco oil.
