>I am almost finished burning 5 huge walnut stumps. I used to like to turn stump wood before moving to the mountains; I could handle picking and pressure washing the red mud off but here the stumps are full of rocks. If you think hitting dirt with your chainsaw is bad try hitting a rock. I have found some very pretty wood in stumps but many that are not stable also so the law of averages dictated that I not turn these rocky monsters. Anyway, now I have space for one more camping trailer or motorhome.
