Red Alder

Four to six feet long with a diameter ranging from 6 to 12 inches. The ends are now sealed.

I googled red alder and found that it's fairly soft and "okay" for turning.

Any suggestions/tricks on how to treat it?

What the heck, even if it's not that good, I'll still get the needed turning time practice.
And the price was right.

Thanks in advance,

Rick (doesn't this guy ever shut up?) Davenport
