Subject:
C-c-c-cold shop!

Dale Sherman, Manlius/Pompey, NY
>It's 0F with a windchill of about -10 right now. My shop just doesn't warm up in this weather, even with the 75,000 Btu furnace cranking. Need more insulation and airsealing, I guess. My lathe bearings make a funny noise when they're this cold. I can handle a shop at 25-30, cuz then the furnace will take it up to 50 or so reasonably quick.

This is the kind of weather where I stay in and sketch ideas for my next project. How cold does it get before you leave the shop for warmer environs?

Scraping frost from inside of my faceshield,
Dale
